During my tenure, I have successfully guided 13 Ph. D. scholars in different areas of algebra and applied mathematics at IIT Madras. To date I have guided 114 M. Sc. and M. Tech. research projects. Together with my students, I have published 136 combined research papers. I have also given guidance without hesitation to over 50 Ph. D. scholars from other universities, evident from the list of conference and research papers published where the students have been co-authors and have successfully completed their Ph. D. 
When I thought of putting up this page, I was amazed at the enormity of information that it had to accommodate. Students are an integral part of my life, and two lines of formal text will never suffice to enclose them. There is so much to write: old students are jumping into their new jobs.
